My Story
Myself and Cat are running the Bristol half marathon on the 10th May as part of the 2026 AJ Bell Great Bristol Run in memory of Mum – who we suddenly lost at the end of last year.
The ICU at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, provided exceptional care and comfort for Mum, Dad, myself, James, our families and close friends during a very difficult time. To give a little back, we're lacing up our running shoes and setting ourself a challenge to raise funds for the Southmead Hospital Charity.
We'd be very grateful if you could donate for this wonderful cause and to help us get across the finish line!
Southmead Hospital Charity is the official charity of North Bristol NHS Trust. Working with their dedicated donors and fundraisers, and together with Trust colleagues, they aim to deliver world-class projects and comforting items over and above what the NHS funds. From pioneering research, cutting-edge equipment, and healing spaces, to patient, family and staff support, donations make the biggest difference to patients at NBT. Every pound donated stays local, enriching the healthcare the Trust provides to over one million people every year.
