Staff from North Bristol NHS Trust and retailers in Bristol Shopping Quarter will be cycling 180km in the Tour of Broadmead 4 on 31 July 2021. The distance has been chosen to replicate Stage One of the Tour of Britain, which will see riders cycle between Penzance and Bodmin on 5 September.
They are hoping to raise money for a ground-breaking £750,000 pioneering digital microscope for the leading neurosurgeons at Southmead Hospital. Making intricate brain operations more accurate and precise, it will reduce the risks of complications, improve recovery time and reduce side effects following surgery will reduce operating time. Every single donation will make a real difference to patients living with brain tumours, disease and injuries.
